Recently Completed Project - City of Radford

Valley Automation, Inc. recently completed a tank and pump station monitoring system for the City of Radford. Over the past year our staff successfully upgraded 6 sites for monitoring and control of water distribution requirements. The previous system was operated using telephone land lines which are quickly becoming obsolete. Our solution included new Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) panels housing a Modicon PLC, interfacing equipment and VPN connections through cellular modems to the main water treatment plant SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). Our staff of SCADA engineers provided the software and connectivity while our electrical staff provided UL508 panel construction and installation requirements. The City of Radford has been a customer of Valley Automation, Inc. for over 15 years. We appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve the needs of the City of Radford.
